Welcome to our Skip Hire Upminster service. By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before hiring a skip.
1. Booking and Reservations
To reserve a skip, you must provide accurate and complete information during the booking process. All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation.
1.1 Booking Process
- Complete the online booking form with all required details.
- Provide a valid contact number and email address for confirmation.
- Receive a confirmation of your booking via email or phone.
1.2 Changes and Cancellations
If you need to modify or cancel your booking, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.
2. Payment Terms
All payments must be made in full prior to or on the day of delivery unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon.
2.1 Pricing
Our pricing is based on the size of the skip, the duration of hire, and the type of waste being disposed of. Additional charges may apply for certain types of waste.
2.2 Payment Methods
We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and cash.
3. Use of the Skip
You are responsible for ensuring that the skip is used in a safe and lawful manner.
3.1 Placement
The skip must be placed on a stable and level surface, and must not obstruct public pathways or access. Any damage caused by improper placement is the responsibility of the hirer.
3.2 Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from being disposed of in the skip:
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Biological waste
- Electrical appliances
- Batteries
- Vehicles or parts thereof
Failure to comply may result in additional disposal fees or penalties.
4. Safety and Liability
We prioritize safety in all our operations. By hiring a skip, you agree to adhere to the following safety guidelines.
4.1 Safety Measures
- Do not overload the skip beyond its capacity.
- Ensure hazardous materials are handled appropriately.
- Keep the area around the skip clear to prevent accidents.
4.2 Liability
We are not liable for any injuries or damages arising from the misuse of the skip or failure to comply with safety guidelines. It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure safe usage.
5. Duration of Hire
The standard hire period is 7 days unless otherwise agreed. Extensions can be arranged subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
5.1 Overdue Fees
If the skip is not returned by the agreed-upon date, overdue fees will apply. The current rate for overdue rentals is specified in your booking agreement.
6. Disposal and Recycling
We are committed to environmentally responsible disposal and recycling of waste materials.
6.1 Waste Types
Accepted waste types include:
- Household waste
- Construction and demolition debris
- Garden waste
All waste is categorized and handled according to local regulations and environmental standards.
6.2 Recycling Practices
We strive to recycle as much waste as possible. Materials suitable for recycling are processed accordingly to minimize environmental impact.
7. Insurance
We carry appropriate insurance coverage for our skip hire services. However, it is recommended that hirers obtain their own insurance if necessary.
7.1 Damage to Property
While we take precautions to prevent damage, any damage to your property caused by the delivery or collection of the skip must be reported immediately for assessment and resolution.
8. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from the use of our skip hire services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in this region.
8.1 Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to our customers through appropriate channels.

This indemnity covers any legal fees, costs, or expenses incurred due to the hirer's actions or omissions.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, war, or other unforeseen events.

In the event of a force majeure, we will notify the hirer as soon as possible to discuss alternative arrangements.
13. Severability
If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
13.1 Remaining Terms
Invalid or unenforceable terms do not affect the validity of the other terms and conditions.
14. Acceptance of Terms
By proceeding with the skip hire reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
